Let’s start with the Listening Exercise. This exercise is the first part of Advanced Beginner Lesson 3, or you can do it as an individual listening exercise.
First, be prepared to find the answers to these four questions as you listen:
- What is Nain?
- What did Jesus say to the boy’s mother?
- What did the boy do after Jesus spoke to him?
- What spread all over Judea?

Do you hear the way English speakers put stress on certain words and syllables? Maybe you heard the way English intonation and stress is used in sentences with exclamation marks (!).
