1. foolishly (adverb)
in an unwise way, stupidly
They were condemned for acting foolishly.
The prodigal son spends his money foolishly.

2. famine (noun)
a time when people can’t get food
Drought could result in famine throughout the region.
People are hungry because there is a famine.

3. servants (plural noun)
A person who works full-time in another person’s house. This word is not used often today.
His father’s family lived in a big house with servants.
The prince had many servants to help him.

4. interrupted (verb - simple past)
to make a person stop speaking or doing something. Many times, this is not good.
He’s very impatient and always interrupted me mid-sentence.
The telephone call interrupted my lunch.

5. worthy
to expect good things because of good behavior or character
Father, I am not worthy to be called your son.
The employee was worthy of a pay raise.
