Here are 5 vocabulary words to study, from the first day of creation.

  1. Read the word.
  2. See how it is spelled.

1. say

/seɪ/ (verb)

to speak using words

The Lord says, “If you love me and truly know who I am, I will rescue you and keep you safe.” (Psalm 91:14)

Jesus asked, “But who do you say I am?” (Matthew 16:15)

2. happen

/ˈ pən/ (verb)

to occur, especially with no planning

This will happen  on the day when the Lord returns. (2 Thessalonians 1:10)

God will make all of this happen. (Philippians 1:28)

3. dome

/ʊm/ (noun)

a thing or a building that is like half of a sphere

He walks around heaven’s dome high above the earth.  (Job 22:14)

I saw the dome that was above the four winged creatures…   (Ezekiel 10:1)

4. above

ˈbʌv/ (preposition)

at a higher place or position

Jesus is honored above all beings in heaven.  (Job 35:5)

Above him was a sign that said, “This is the King of the Jews.”  (Luke 23:38)

5. below

/bɪˈʊ/ (preposition)

at a lower place or position

I will work miracles in the sky above and wonders on the earth below.  (Acts 2:19)

I created everything from the sky above to the earth below.  (Isaiah 44:24)
